Been riding in wilkie snaffle and have been advised by judges to change as way of going would be much better .What snaffle bit can anyone suggest .

I always like a double jointed, or one with a lozenge as far as the mouthpiece goes, I found they normally hate single joints. Not fussed about the side pieces as long as it's a proper snaffle. A fulmer, doubtless it has another name these days, is helpful with turning if you need it but best idea would be to borrow and try what you can first and see what works, without knowing the combination it's impossible to pronounce from a distance on here.

As Sarah p said, it's difficult without knowing the pony & rider. I like a neat French link full cheek for novices, especially the kk and neue schule versions of any snaffle (whether loose ring etc...)

novice pony but not rider pony has natural head carriage just needs to be allowed to Big Trot from his front
