Lislea Sam is a 7 year old 142 (ahc) registered Connemara gelding. I bought him in Ireland 18 months ago from Rosscon Stud and he has been a delight to own. We have brought him on slowly and correctly. He hacks out alone or in company, has attended PC and school lessons, been to local shows, ode, arena eventing and BSPS winter shows and hunted.
He moves really well and has a fantastic jump, hugely scopey, we have jumped 1.10 courses at home and he has loose schooled over 1m30 - makes nothing of it. Has not looked at a thing, jumps all fillers, trays, pens, owl holes etc, is very bold and forward to a fence, not whizzy or silly but sees a stride and sorts himself out - absolutely loves jumping and is very careful. He is the most impressive young pony we have ever had, sure to qualify for hoys and ri in the future - will jump the moon! Was placed 3rd in his first arena eventing. At BSPS 9b he was 2nd in the Novice plaited and 2nd open restricted (ridden by a borrowed very small 12 year old jockey who had not ridden him before)(beating our open pony!) - so is qualified for winter champs.
He is up to date with back, teeth, jabs, worming and is a really super chap. Quiet and gentle with a truly lovely temperament, total poppet to do in all ways. Just really needs to be someone's special pony and to get out competing - he needs mileage but is so well behaved at shows - on and off the lorry.
We would have loved to keep him but my daughter has glandular fever and cannot manage 3 ponies at the moment so he must be sold. He would be ideal for a competent child who really enjoys jumping. Never done anything naughty or silly - just lacks mileage.
He is 100% in all ways and very easy to do.
Please email me for more info, I have pictures and some video clips - he is advertised on HQ as well. £5000 (but am open to sensible offers as he must be sold) - would really like him to go to a home where his potential will be fulfilled.
