Just after opinions, has anyone had experience using a Sweet iron copper roller snaffle? I know everyone horse/pony is individual but I'm curious to know the results people got from this bit I'm thinking it would help my fell relax as sometimes he gets quite tense and doesn't saliva at all.

I used one on my fell last year when he was a baby. I also feed polo's or tiny bits of carrot when they have done something well when ridden. This really helps get them salivating which in turn relaxes the jaw and them. I'm selling my Fulmer sweet iron copper roller if you're interested. My boy also likes his french Lin k hanging cheek

I've tried it and it was ok but the neue schule was better for my pony. I have both of mine in those now. What size is your pony x

Ok update on the bitting situation, I ended up trying a neue schule team up bit and wow! what a difference, my pony even after a full work out barely made saliva but with this bit not even 5 minutes into walk he completely relaxes his head, neck and back and is practically drooling! so impressed wish i'd tried it sooner!

I use a copper jointed snaffle on our baby 15shp , and we can ride him on washing lines , and he still salivates....Recently he has overbent a bit when I ride him , so I might change him to a loose ring version , but love the actual copper mouthpiece...
