FOR SALE
Fantastically bred Dutch KWPN 15.2hh chestnut mare, 10 years old. Her grandsires are two of the most prolific dressage sires in the world, Jazz and Negro (sires of the gold and silver medal winners of the 2012 Olympic dressage!). Lola is an excellent allrounder for a competitive rider wanting to do well in any discipline. Smart, low mileage horse with the potential to be a rosette machine!
Lola works well on the flat with established lateral work, currently schooling towards Medium level. She has been competed at novice with us with consistently improving scores of up 70% with the potential to compete at higher levels. She is a responsive and willing ride and a quick learner. Lola is fairly inexperienced at jumping but has shown enormous talent and scope over a fence. She is easily popping courses of 90cm and is very careful - I am sure she would be capable of jumping at least Newcomers/1.10m level. She has so far been unfazed by any filler or fence, and with more experience will be very fast against the clock, however currently she is still green and takes confidence from her rider at a competitive venue. She would easily affiliate in both showjumping and dressage and quickly move up the levels. She has a lovely friendly nature, is good to deal with in all ways and has lived in and out. Always in a snaffle with no need for any gadgets, she’s not lazy but has excellent brakes and manners.
In a short time and limited number of outings she has had numerous successes, including:
• Winning arena ODE
• Winning her first WH class and qualifying for Equifest (sold with ride)
• Winning and qualifying for the BRC Novice/85cm combined training championships.
• 5th in her arena and 19th overall (out of 100 competitiors) at the BRC National combined training championships 2015 against some highly experienced and successful combinations.
• Won/placed unaffilliated showjumping and dressage
• Attended Pony Club rallies
We would love to keep Lola and continue her education however with rider’s A-levels and other riding commitments she is not being given the time she deserves. We are looking for a 5*, long term and loving home with a competent and competitive jockey who will continue working with her. She will undoubtedly make someone a lovely and competitive ride at both riding club and affiliated events. While she is up for sale we will be continuing to compete her and move onto affiliated competitions.
