Just to remind anyone who is unsure: Entry is by qualification only & exhibitors MUST be members of NCPA. Once you have qualified for POYS (Rodbaston 6th September) that qualification card also allows you to enter POYS or the new NORTHERN CHAMPS (Richmond 26th Sept) ie BOTH shows. Membership & entries can be done online through www.thencpa.co.uk (Please do your membership first) Qualifying cards allow you to enter ANY/ALL classes which you would like to do & are eligible for at either/both shows. Golden Tickets: These were awarded to all CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPIONS at NCPA Branch events & the Spring Spectacular. The tickets are GOLD CARD & have the Golden Ticket wording on them Entry is FREE but the exhibitor MUST enter at least one POYS class to be eligible & the entry must be included with your other classes before the close of entries. Prizes for both ridden & In Hand are 1st £500, 2nd £300, 3rd £100, 4th £50, 5th & 6th £25 AT BOTH SHOWS & you can use your ticket at BOTH SHOWS! Entry to The President's Cup & The Chairman's Cup is also FREE (the In Hand Champion & Res Supreme from each Branch show qualifies & the same for the Champion & Res Supreme for the Ridden) Fabulous sashes to all class winners, lots of trophies, brass plaques to 3rd place, rosettes to 6th PLUS prize money & finalist rosettes to everyone not placed! Probably at least 2 weeks I'm afraid. I have not had a signed off final copy yet & I am at RIHS all week, so the office will be closed until Tuesday 4th August & then it will take at least a week to get them printed & a couple of days to post out (depending when I receive them!)
It will go on the website as soon as I get the final version & entries will open almost immediately.
Many apologies for the lateness.
There are all the same classes as POYS except there are NO open (£5 classes) & the President's & Chairman's Cups Plus the Champion of Champions & the Golden Supremes are all indoors in an evening performance.

Thank you to those who have already entered for POYS (Rodbaston 6th September) - please keep them coming as it is a big help to me if they don't all arrive at the last minute!
Don't forget you can choose ANY/ALL classes you would like to enter & are eligible for.
Also you can use your Golden Ticket at EITHER/BOTH shows - you must show it to enter the ring, but please keep hold of it at POYS if you also want to do them at the Northern Champs

None of the overall championships (President's & Chairman's Cups, Brown Turner Ross Champion of Champions & the Golden Ticket preliminary judging start before 12 noon
The youngstock winners go forward to the yearling or 2/3 year old BTR Champs & the adult I/H winners to either the M&M or the non M&M depending on their breed/type

Just a polite reminder that online entries close at midnight on August 30th.
It would be really helpful if those of you off to BSPS could do them before you go so that I can get the numbers back to you in plenty of time & remember that you can enter ANY classes that your animal is eligible for, ridden, I/H & WHP.
Golden Supreme entries are FOC but the animal MUST be entered in at least one POYS class & you will need your Golden Ticket to show to enter the ring.
Those of you who also want to enter the Northern Champs as well, do remember to keep your Golden Ticket safe - as you will need to show it again.
So this year that ticket could be worth £1000!

Just a quick update on entries so far in the classes:
I/H classes - currently NO entries in Welsh C, Highland youngstock, Connemara, Arab, PBA youngstock, Hunter, Coloured Non Native adult & trad youngstock
Ridden - NO entries in Hunter, mini Cob, Large hack, S saddle, Nov M&M dart,Ex & Shet & Welsh A & B, Open M&M NF & Connemara, Nov SP, 148 Open SP, ISRT. Open 143 & 153 SHP, C Stakes, Open 143 WHP, Open Int WHP, Nov M&M WHP not ex 122, Open M&M WHP not ex 122, Col Trad ex 148 & Non native not ex 153, Arab, PBW, Vets 15-19, Foreign, Comp pony & NCPA reg non M&M not ex 148
Still a week to go until close of entries so get entering!!!!
Remember there are sashes for all POYS class winners, brass plaques to 3rd & prize money, as well as rosettes tp 6th & finalist rosettes PLUS loads of perpetual trophies

Have been trying to enter and join at same time to enable me to enter but the online system req a membership no which I don't have with the office closed at the moment is there no point joining as wont be able to enter online in time?

Marymary - go onto www.thencpa.co.uk click on membership tab on the home page & click on join online here & follow the instructions Postal entries closed on 12th so you can now only do it online There are more detailed instructions under the latest news tab if you need more help I will be in fore a phone call on Sunday at some point if you are struggling & you could send an email with your phone number so that I could contact you on Sunday if this is easier but I cannot pick it up until Sunday Hope this helps |

Many apologies - there has been a fault on the office telephone line (now sorted) you can call on 10704 834482 but I will be out between 12 noon & 3pm today & do NOT answer calls after 6pm
(Will be able to take calls tomorrow as well)
The ONLINE entry system has been EXTENDED UNTIL midnight on Monday 31st
The entries in the plaited ridden classes are fairly low but not had a chance to look at much else yet as massive amount of work to do now I'm back from BSPS
Please bear with me - I will get your problems/queries sorted but under quite a bit of pressure due to the volume & have a rather bad chest infection which doesn't help!

Open In Hand Non M&M ditto
The £5 classes in Ring 11 can all be entered on the day (cash only)
So entries can still be made online & those who are entered can add classes if they wish (up to midnight)

Please find class numbers attached There have been a few alterations where animals have been entered in wrong class but it is fairly accurate but PLEASE REMEMBER that numbers entered is NOT the same as numbers forward, so please arrive in good time |

Judge changes:
Mrs J K Bushell will now replace MR D Machin for ALL his classes
Ms L Ennett will now replace Mrs C Scott for GS2
Mrs J Fitchett will now replace Ms L Ennett for GS6
Both Ms Ennett & Mrs Fitchett will judge any other classes they were scheduled for.
