Anyone travelling to Kent County this weekend keep an eye on operation stack as if it's still on you will need to leave extra time to get there .

When the channel tunnel and ports are closed or delayed they shut the m20 to park all the lorries on it. This means all motorway traffic is diverted to side roads, adversely affecting Kent County show grounds.
Along with the genius planning of a large open air concert at Leeds castle on Saturday locally too.

The traffic all this week has been horrendous coming off the M25 on to the M20 - big tailbacks.

I'd check travel at the time, but you need to leave far longer than normal, I've just heard a traffic report in the car saying its backed past detling hill, and that the M2 is very heavy too. No good way to avoid it unfortunately.

Hi Wiltshire Man I thought of that as well you can come in off the M2/A2 at Borden end however you cannot turn right into the show for horseboxes so would have to go to bottom of Detling Hill round the roundabout and back up the hill so probably sitting in more traffic! Only other way is to come off the M2 and down Bluebell Hill joining the M20 at 6a (I think but the Aylesford turning) and then still off at Detling Hill avoiding all the parked up lorries!!!! Sounds like a nightmare and we are leaving the old boy at home - far too hot for him to be stuck on a lorry, just not worth it. Good Luck.

Might be better as the traffic coming off the M25 at jnct 3 getting on to M20 has been horrendous all week, I drive past it everyday! However still be prepared to meet long queues at M20 as Detling Hill is only one jnct before Hollingbourne where they have closed it! Sorry not to sound more positive but all the surrounding routes have been a nightmare as well - A21 has been bad all day today. Hopefully see you there!
