As title says really , By Long reigning I mean walking out in straight lines no circles just for exercise .Would like to hear other peoples experiences Thank you

I'll stick my head above the parapet and say 2yo as long as the youngster is mature enough and you keep the lessons short.

Thanks guys , I didn't mean hard work just pottering in straight lines , more like leading out really , just to get them a little braver and used to a roller and boots and taking the lead and save my bloody toes .

usually 3 but I once did a 2yr old colt because he was a little sod who you couldn't lead properly as he was always trying to bite and I wanted to show him so it was best way to get him going forward in a bridle. As soon as his 2nd testicle descended at 2 1/2 he was gelded and never looked back
