So, over the years I have arrived early and stood in a queue and arrived late and still stood in a queue! So that seems to be personal preference, however, I want to try to get up the dressage/performance to music end of blue with hook up as last time I was right up the other end and had to walk miles to get anywhere! Any thoughts on this predicament? I was going to arrive early and just ask to sit and wait until the appropriate time as I understand the are allocating on arrival so will be working their way up the line and then back down again. One year we arrived and just moved to where we wanted! Eh Karen!
Sigh !

Yep allocation for pitches and stables is on arrival. I just dont want to be shoved up the far end again. I was allocated a pitch a couple of years ago and someone still nicked it because they liked the look of it more than mine!! Im just hoping that the very very kind and understanding men on gate 10 (you never know .... they might be reading!!) will let me park near the gate!!

I arrived about 1pm last year, it was easier to get in, no waiting at all. Prob aiming for same. I'm in same as you, hoping to get up somewhere behind end of main arena, very easy for dressage ring for you.
I've upped sticks and moved twice before, once with you and once with others! We'd have been on our knees after a day if we hadn't!!

This is a real bug bear of mine, I book asap as soon as entries open and I feel in todays computer age that you should be able to pick your stable number on a plan on a first come first serve basis. Many people are not able to get there until late or even until Wednesday and they then get the dregs when somebody who bought a stable off somebody the day before can arrive early and get a prime location stable in whatever area. If this was sorted you would not need somebody allocating a stable as the record would show whose atable it was including contact numbers etc and people could just park up a lot quicker without any trouble. I find this really hard as I come on my own and have to do a lot of walking to rings as I need to carry my steps etc to get back on so I need to be located as close to my rings as possible to save my poor old feet. I keep living in hope that one day this will happen
