I have a sec D who has dandruff around the base of his mane and he has scratched some of it out - Its worse than just a bit of an itch though as he rubs himself up and down the wall with it - He has pulled a bit of the base of his mane out.
I was wondering if anyone knows of anything that might help as the skin is flakey and I feel bad for him.
Thanks
Sophie

I used to use Dermoline medicated shampoo for my pony's itchy mane which did a decent job but a producer recommended Coatex dog shampoo to me and that has been a complete godsend, pony has kept a full mane this year
I find that between washes Supreme mane and tail rebuilder works well, it seems to soothe a bit and also eases friction when they do rub which reduces damage

I would also recommend another dog shampoo, which saved my Section D's mane and tail. It is called Dermocanis and contains natural Borage Oil. It is absolutely awesome and everyone I have recommended it to and who has used it has also had amazing results.
