More exercise, less feed, like any of us! IH or ridden? If the former, can you lunge or long rein him, ideally on a slope? Fibre has to be kept up but can you reduce the calorific value of what he's fed, eg changing haylage to soaked hay?

We have a section C a really good do-er!
We use a handful of chaff and a feed balancer, we use top spec lite and feed according to instructions, twice a day.
We weigh all the hay, no haylage, and soak it for as long as we can, minimum 2 hours - maximum 12 hours. She goes out every day for up to 2 hours in the morning and same again evening and is in a paddock with not much grass. AND she still does well!
Exercise at a steady pace every day hacking or on the lunge/pessoa.
We weigh tape every couple of weeks to try and keep her to the ideal weight that we think she looks good at without being too lean.
We use fresh water for every net we soak and we use a dustbin to soak it in.
