My cat drives me mad, sorry just had to get it off my chest. His food has to be super fresh! If it has been in the bowl for more than one nano second he won't eat it. One day he will love a particualr flavour the the next day he has gone off it. Arrgh! (We love him all the same though)

he is playing you!! he has realised if he turns his nose up at the food then good old mum changes it for a diff one!! i tell my cat "its that or nothing!" if he is that hungry he will eat it!! it can take the whole day but eventually he gets the message!

Try the foil trays they sell in Aldi, my old girl loved it and could manage it with virtually no teeth!

Yes squidgetmidget I think he is playing with me! May well think about changing to just biscuits as when I throw the food away that he won't eat it makes the bin stink! Have not tried food you suggested Milliesmum , may well give it a go. Anything is worth a try, it's costing us a fortune buying food he won't eat, little minx!

I have 3 cats and they are exactly the same. My husband goes mad, all the cat food I donate to the local rescue centre as they have "gone off it".
I have just got them on to "One Natural Balance" bu PURINA. This has no artificial additives and my 3 are totally addicted to it! It is sold in sachets and I get mine from Tesco. I leave a bowl of dry food out all the time (BURNS as again is got no artificials, as my Bengal is intolerent), then just give them a sachet twice a day, when they are begging me for it. Little monsters love to keep us slaves well trained!

I know how you feel, we rescued a feral kitten from Addington 2 years ago,she will only eat tuna and only if my husband gives it to her, she is a nightmare, she still will only go to the loo if the tray and only if it is in a certain place, if we put it outside she will not go!!!! Maybe I should have left her at Addington!!!

Nobby - you should think yourself lucky! My Bengal "Tiggy" will wee on the sofa, if she finds her litter tray to be dirty, from one of the other cats!
We are on constant litter tray "alert"........

Mine love "applaws" too, but like you say, it is expensive. Try the Purina Natural Balance, its new out and mine prefer it to "Applaws".
I have to say, that actually my lot prefer the wild life, which every morning at approx 4 am, they bring in, chase noisily round the house, waking up my family and the dogs.
This morning it was a baby bunny, which was being thrown around my sons room. I got up, knowing that if I didnt, it would be eaten and puked onto my bed! Then the dogs woke up and as I let them out, proceeded to bark at every noise imaginable for 3 hours.
Getting up bleary eyed at 6.30, having had little sleep, then tread into mouse remains on the carpet. The little feline darlings are all there, purring and crying for breakfast, as innocent as virgin mary!

The cat I have now, adopted us... he just walked in of the street he is now such a fussy eater.. always has biscutes.. but as for meat we have to change it every week.. but he does love sardines. So in our supermarket shop we have to add 10 tins of them... just to keep him happy As I type this, the little darling is laid flat out on the sofa, with not a care in the world
