I am praying someone can help me and my broken hearted 4 year old son. He currently has a 9hh Shetland pony Bobby on loan and the owner has decided to sell, ive been trying everything to come up with the money but its proving very hard I just don't have the £650 price tag the owner is asking, my son has cried for days over the thought of loosing his best friend and its proving very upsetting for me aswell I also truly love our little pony.
I would ideally like another Shetland of similar size to ours but I will consider other breeds and sizes (but obviously my son is only 4) if the pony was a perfect lead rein pony. My son enjoys grooming, mucking out, leading the pony on his own (supervised) too and from the field and without fail comes twice a day to the farm with me. He loves riding him around the farm and in the school and every Saturday we ride round the local housing estate and go to the park lol. Im not bothered on colour, gender, age etc just a perfect new best friend for my son.
In return we can offer your pony a very loving and experienced home (I have been around horses for 28 years and worked with some of the top riders in the country) We are on a nice friendly livery yard, with lovely local hacks and an outdoor school. All horses come in at night in the winter and the yard owners live on site. We go to the yard twice a day and take very good care of our animals.
We are looking to loan, but will consider a lwvtb if price is right. We are based in Coalville, Leicestershire (so is the livery yard we use) so would need to be able to move yards. Our only issue is with viewing due to transport issues I can only really consider ponies within the midlands. Yard open to vetting.
Please if anyone can help let me know, thank you x
