AArggggghh!!! I have just spent two hours with some stupid people who come to see my lorry advertised at £23k. They ate all our biscuits then used all the deisel driving round for ages. Then they came up with the punchline - they only have £12k to spend. I am not sure if that tops the person with whom we agreed a price and then waited in for them on the agreed collection day. When they were an hour late they sent a text saying they were £8k short, would we still go ahead with the sale. I know times are hard and I would accept an offer - but really? !!!

That is just INSULTING. I would love a nice new lorry worth £23k for £12k, but uhm "LIKELY"....
I think I would have wanted to commit some sort of unladylike, illegal act, if someone wasted my time like that....
Perhaps you will have to ask, what money people are looking to spend, before even bothering to show them the lorry?

The same can be said about those selling lorries. I called about a lorry early yesterday morning, made FIRM arrangements to view today (Friday) with the promise that I would have first refusal. As I was the first caller to do this they said that they wouldn't allow anyone else to view the lorry until I had seen it and made a decision. So yesterday I sorted out arrangements for someone to do the ponies, told my daughter to take a day out of college, filled the car up with diesal, etc, etc. This lorry was over 220 miles from my home, a four hour plus journey. At lunchtime I called again to get full address to confirm sat-nav post code, and to again let them know I was definately leaving early in the morning to view. Last night I received a call to say that the lorry had been sold. Glad I hadn't started out on my journey because the person selling obviously wasn't true to his word. Yes, I was so angry once I had put the put phone down, so lorry sellers can waste peoples' valuable time aswell.
