I'm looking for a 2-3 year old standard Shetland, must be 40"+. Eventually this will be for my daughter to ride as she will outgrow our 34" minis in 2-3 years. I would like a youngster to take out and about inhand for a season or two first. As we have 3 mares already, I'd prefer another, however a gelding would also be ok. I can't take a colt as I have just the one field, however I would consider a colt if you could have him gelded and keep him til he's safe. I'm not too fussed about colour, although I love black Shetlands. I will not consider a grey or broken coloured with white legs/tail - white splodges on body would be fine. My daughter however is desperately keen to have a chestnut with flaxen mane and tail - anyone who's ever read Peter Clover's Sheltie books will understand why Please PM if you can help Just to save anyone wasting time, it's a standard Shetland we're after, not a mini Shetland (got those already), Welsh (got one of those too), Dartmoor (had a share in one of those), part-bred or anything else. It has to be fully registered with SPSBS and near enough full-up. Great family home awaits, with other ponies in a mini herd. The pony when backed can look forward to lots of variety including showing, hacking, schooling, beach and forest rides, pony club rallies and camp, handy pony, gymkhana games, side saddle - these are all activities we enjoy with our minis! Thanks for reading

Still looking Some lovely ponies at Reading, but I couldn't get there. Two gorgeous fillies at Carlisle but I was out bid Catalogue ofr York on Friday doesn't show anything that grabs me - only 27 Shetlands entered, mainly minis. Thanks for the links above Sheltie - I'm a regular visitor to both the Shetland pony sites. I'm based in the Warrington area, so ideally looking within about a hundred miles, however I can travel further.
