£15.00 a class for foals (Non Members), for foals that have never been to a show, i feel is a bit steep... you can do all the practicing at home, but at a show its a different matter and at this time of year, £15.00 is money towards a bale of haylage..... guess we will be buying haylage ....

A lot of the welsh associations offer cheap membership and high entries for non members to encourage joining but most people won't join for the sake of membership for 2 months (nov - dec), can't remember which, but a riding club near me who were running winter shows did an offer whereby if you joined now they would extend it for the following year, good idea, maybe something more clubs should offer in order to increase membership!

We have 3 foals to show, that would have been £45.00 in entry fees and £50.00 in diesel, so £95.00 to show 3 (2 novice ones) foals, that's 3/4 bales of haylage .....

At SCWPCA we run membership on for the following year if you join for the winter show, so might be worth asking if they do the same. I'm my experience entries fees are up to ensure costs are covered, but that in turn can put people off......it's a tricky one!

£15.00 is a little steep for a foal show, I will be bringing two but only for one class at that price.
