143 SHP/WHP, Dressage, PC all-rounder
Absolutely heart-breaking sale of a much loved pony that is truly worth his weight in gold.
Copper is a liver chestnut gelding 141 LHC, 11 years old and we have owned him for 3 fabulous years. Copper is a safe and honest pony, he is well schooled and a dream to ride; a great confidence giver for any child. He has done almost everything; showing, WHP, dressage, SJ, farm rides, X-country schooling and hunting. He hacks out alone or in company, first or last, good in traffic, snaffle-mouthed, doesn’t take a hold and is never too strong.
Copper has been in PC area teams, winter league, rallies and camp. He has been a member of the Intermediate dressage team for the last 3 years, qualifying twice for the Pony Club National Championships. This year he was overall winner of the winter league dressage ride- off (class of 45), he was a member of the area SJ team who came 6th and he was 2nd individually (out of over 60 competitors) he is very careful over fences.
Copper has competed at local riding club up to county level showing with numerous wins and championships, he also loves the atmosphere of the evening performances. This year he was 2nd at Cheshire, Royal Lancs and Westmorland in Nov 143 WHP twice taking Res Champion, he has jumped three open classes and won two of them!, so is still eligible for novice and able to jump the bigger tracks.
Copper is a really versatile pony, currently fit and regularly competing, travels in a trailer or lorry, alone or in company, stands at shows lives in or out with or without company, 100% in all ways, in and out of the stable, he is the most fantastic pony to have around, no vices, very mannerly, hasn’t got a bad bone in him, completely safe and sane, he is 100% to clip, shoe, catch, load, vet, dentist, etc. Up to date with everything.
Sadly for sale as rider has grown too tall and is out of the class at the end of the year, this is a heartbreaking sale so we’re looking for someone that will love him and cherish him as much as we do. We’d love him to go to someone that will do a bit of everything with him as he enjoys life so much. An active pony club home with a jockey wanting to get onto all the teams and learn the ropes would be perfect.
Copper will go to his new home with all his tack, Inc. made to measure Black Country saddle that is just over 12mts old and a selection of rugs
