Our Section C mare had her annual jabs on Wednesday. The injection site has swollen and she is very lethargic. She also isn't grazing in the field, which I'm wondering may be due to having a stiff/sore neck. Does anyone think this is normal, 48 hours after the injection? Thank you in advance.

It can be. Mine had a reaction like this 1 year. Try ringing the vet and seeing if they can get a couple of Danillon or bute to you. Next time have it in the chest or bum also.

We had a mare that reacted badly after vaccines, stiff, sore neck etc. Advised vet and the following year they used a different product and pony didn't have a reaction. Talk to your vet before the next vaccine is due.
