Caldene do a lovely bridle which is 2 thirds the cost of the Fylde. We have one of each and tbh if we didn't have a plaited browband on the Fylde I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I find sizing the main issue and I know when I go to fylde I can get the thin leather in small pony (suppose that serves me right for having little heads!! Lol) I find other brands in pony size are too large sand the next alternative is Shetland size which don't fit right either x

If they are standard sizing try oakfield direct. English leather and you can pick your noseband width they are about forty quid. I love mine
