Dolsey is going to be treated to a new bridle as the one she has is ever so slightly too big. Just wondering what sort of thickness you would go for with the cheeks and noseband. Here is a pic with her in her current one, I think it is 1 1/4" thick on the noseband. Haven't got a close up of her head so this will have to do, don't know what I am asking her to do in this pic so just ignore the rider

I think she suits that width you already have. It just needs to be a slightly better fit, straps in keepers to look neat etc. Lovely pony!

Yeah I think so too - you could possibly go a bit wider but I dont think you really NEED to! Sometimes when you go thicker it looks like your trying to disguise a big head and your pony has a lovely head!

Think it looks fine as it is, just would put an elastic band under the keeper to stops the straps coming out, if the band is under the keeper you wont see it but will look tidier. Love your jacket

yep noseband looks just fine, you could get hole puncher just to higher it up a knotch, is the no keepers on the cheek pieces, use plaiting cotton in colur of bridle for a neater finish... what you doing with your leg you got pins an needles lolx

Haha, I think I might be asking her to go sideways, or I've just got pins and needles! The reason why I want a smaller bridle is because nearly everything is on the top holes and it makes the straps flap around too much. Think she needs a cob size - I've looked on Fydles website and like their bridles, do they come up big or small?

I really rate Fylde bridles, the leather is beautiful and Peter will let you mix and match - my pony has small pony noseband and cheek pieces but needs pony size brow band. ;D
