We are currently part loaning a really sweet little pony but she has not been ridden for quite some time. I am a bit worried about putting my daughter up for the first time. Tips??

Presuming you know a bit of her previous history and she was well behaved I would first tack her up and take her out in hand,if you have no problems have a helper to stand at the ponies head and try leaning over the saddle as if you were going to back her,if she is taking everything in her stride get daughter aboard,you then proceed depending on reactions.
