I have recently purchased a 16 yo 12.3 chestnut mare who is a reg british riding pony. I am looking for advice on classes. Age of rider for riding pony classes. What sort of browband/colour of browband. I am going to plait the pony up, will I be able to get away with plaiting bands? I have the pony in a neule hanging cheek which she goes nice in is this ok?
Any advice on turnout or any tips would be appreciated.
thank you

Better to sew plaits ,some shows have open age classes (unaffiliated) which show pony would be the best bet, for affiliated showing in those there are age limits depending on height and spending some time with the BSPS handbook would help you, Hanging cheek is fine no need for a pelham etc if the pony is happy, nice coloured browband, not to big or loud to compliment colour, navy jacket, Tie, Cream/ Canary Jods, Contrasting Shirt, velvet hat, gloves and tidy but not t many bows etc and good luck and enjoy

You would also be ok in that attire for Veteran Classes
