Just spent 3 hours doing three HOYS CHAPS qualifier entries. Never knew entry forms could be so complicated, there is a HOYS number for me as owner, one for rider and one for the pony, as well as his CHAPS number, his JMB number and his passport number. How on earth do professional riders do it, I think they must have an entry secretary. Very excited however, as this is his first affiliated season, and he has his first show (not a HOYS qualifier) next weekend. Too old to ride him myself now and do him justice, but really enjoyable to watch him in the ring strutting his stuff with a very talented rider. Wish I had found him 15 years ago, but had great fun showing my old pony myself, and am probably getting as much enjoyment from the sidelines. Still riding every day, but now showing at a local level, and also doing some dressage and very low level cross country. Great fun though. You just have to accept your physical limitations when you get older and adjust your sights accordingly. Will try and get a pic from next weekend and post it. So very proud of my boys.

derby has started to take entries by EquineAffairs / my riding life, you can copy yourself a HOYS form and send with postal or i think because equine affairs etc is the same software, once you are registered on there you can click away on shows with online entries and should add your numbers in for you
