Please could anyone that has taken part in the small breeds clinic give me some information on it? What it entails and the height of the jumps etc? My daughter is new to jumping and so is her pony but both really enjoying it and she wanting to do workers. I wouldn't normally be concerned but she is currently off riding until mid May with a broken collar bone and I'm just wondering if we might be pushing it a bit being both novice and with just 12 weeks jumping under them from being back on board at Equifest. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

My daughter did it last year , it was fab if a bit like a pony club rally at times lol . The jumps start of low and last year Rob Walker was very good running around with all the ponies giving instructions when they jumped the whole course . I can highly recommend the small breeds training class at Equifest , my daughter is a novice at workers and so were lots of others but she really enjoyed it . I think it was mostly children/teenagers that did it .There was one bit where everyone jumped a jump one after the other , fun if a little chaotic . Hope that helps

I was wondering exactly the same thing so I did a bit of detective work and found the photographer who did the working hunter rings last year. I have attached a link below and if you have a bit of a hunt around you can also see the little working hunter classes too for later in the week in rings WH2 and WH3. I did watch the next class and Rob Walker was amazing. Running around and giving instruction. Well worth the effort! Oh and see you by the ringside if you do decide to do it because we def will be! www.picture-portraits.com/p41473561

I'm so sorry Mcnaughty, I've only just seen your reply! Thank you so much for the link it's really put my mind at ease. We have entered her for it so we will be there ringside. I'll be the one that has my mum clinging to my arm saying oh my god I'm jumping it with her (she has taken to saying this a lot!). Would be lovely to see a friendly face as we are completely new to workers and I have all sorts of what I'm sure will seem ridiculous questions. She's hoping to do the smaller workers all week as she is adamant she no longer wants to sit in flat classes with line ups of 40 kids......can't blame her really. Even I get bored doing it xx

LOL - so agree with the boredom comment! We have had to endure 4 years of LR and then FR huge classes at Equifest! We are doing most of the little M&M WH classes so see you at ringside.
