What size is your daughter SF? I'm told they aren't available in really small sizes. Start at 6 5/8??? Maisie isn't this big yet.

I bought mine yesterday and needed a size smaller , I think the sizing is more like older Charles Owen hats as I used to have 6 5/8 years ago and now I've gone back to that after having 6 3/4

The Fian says Certifications: Kitemarked and CE marked to VGI 01.040 2014-12
Is that definitely the new standards, don't want to buy one to find u can't use it next year. It's confusing me.

It is to new standards. They have brought it out to replace the fiona.

I was told that the standard is only a 'temporary' one until they decide on what the new one will be so it may not be valid for long (it may well end up being ok, but no one knows yet). Has anyone else heard this?

I also like the look of Hampton, Wellington Classic and H2000sq, they all look similar to Fian !

Fian looked very smart at our first show. Like it better than Fiona I think. Very classic look

The Fian carries the new VGI certification and is kite marked and CE marked and so meets current EU and UK safety standards for the foreseeable future
Re. BS EN 1384 ... hats that carry this mark ONLY will no longer be able to be used for competition after 2016
Hats that carry both the old BS EN 1384 AND PAS 015 and are kite marked and CE marked may continue to be used in competition after 2016
