My saddle told me to get either a ergonomic girth or Anatomic girth to help stop saddle moving forward on my round cob. I can't rember which girth she said, both seem to do this. Any help who has used one please

They're both interchangeable words really... What she possibly means is a girth cut to suit a forward girth groove - something like this cotswoldsport.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=92&products_id=485I use that girth on my arab, and it's made a massive difference to the saddle shifting forward, as her girth groove is quite forward and so a standard straight girth tries to pull the saddle into the place the girth wants to sit. Try standing your horse up with the saddle on, and the girth hanging down on one side, and see if where the girth hangs looks like that's where it should sit when done up, or if when it's done up it will want to sit further forward, in which case when done up it will likely pull your saddle forward (happens on horses with a big tummy as well as those with forward girth grooves)

These girths are great, a bit expensive but well worth the money We had one on the Highland and one on the Thoroughbred. they really do work and keep the saddle in place.

Fairfax girth is great for stability. £220ish but well worth the money as they most definitely improve the paces. Prolite make a synthetic version for under £90.

The Shaped girths are fab to stop saddles moving forward we see so many horses with forward girth grooves now which end up with the saddle up the neck and we have found the forward cut girth sits where the horse needs it to while girthing where the saddle needs to sit, we would definitely recommend giving one a whirl!
