If I cut back on my feeding for welsh section B he will be getting nothing .Does anyone have suggestions as to what to feed ,he is only 4 and cant shift the weight at all .

He should just be on hay and restricted grazing. Walking in straight lines and hill work. All gentle due to his age

I couldn't get weight off one of mine last year. The vet recommended very short restricted grazing and feeding mostly straw with a bit of hay mixed in. She also got a balancer for lami prone types. This regime really helped and I was able to keep her out all summer like this.

Top spec have a new chaff out called top chop zero which is meant to pretty much have a zero calorific value that might be worth looking at. I got a bag to try so that I had something extra I could supplement mine on weight control with when they were trying to convince me they were starving (they weren't) and they all seemed to like it
