If you go on the BSPS website and look at their rule book online. You will be able to see that your rider is eligible for nursery stakes and 13hh classes. There are novice and open nursery stakes and novice and open 13hh classes. All the heights are on there for the different classes. You are also allowed to compete in both nursery and 13hh classes with the same pony. Age limit for Nursery stakes is not to have attained 12th birthday before lst January in the current year and 13hh is not to have attained 14th birthday before lst January in the current year. 13hh is now classed as 133cm. So the pony would not have to exceed this height to compete in the above classes. Hope this helps

Is this the same for heritage and plaited?? Look at the rules on BSPS for the "Heritage WHP" section. This gives the height of the fences for novice, restricted & open - they are lower than the equivalent plaited class height. There is a Nursery Stakes class (& also a Cradle Stakes class for the smaller ponies & younger riders) & these have age limits for the Heritage classes although the N/Stakes is not to have had 13th Birthday by 1st Jan under the current rules for Heritage, so an extra year than for the plaited equivalent.
