After some advice, as I have the chance to buy back a quality ridden mare I used to have... She will around 12 now .. My thoughts are to breed from her, but is she too old? Are there tests that can be done to check fertility etc? Is it too risky at this age to put in foal?? Any advice/ thoughts appreciated

Not too old and not too risky as long as she is fit and well. You could always ask vet to do an examination to check all is OK internally, although I think re fertility I'd guess the best they could say is that they see no reason why she shouldn't get in foal.

Thank you Sara P ... I will be bending your ear a little if I go ahead and bring her home.. Broke my heart when I sold her, so to have an opportunity to have her back and put in foal .. Hopefully for a stunning coloured .. Would be the icing on the cake for me x
