I would like to take my pony to a show inhand tomorrow just to give her the experience , it's a tiny local show so a great first experience for her
She is a part bred but new to me and only partially trimmed up
I don't want to add to the excitement of the day by trying to plait her and she is still a little unsure of me so her heels haven't been trimmed as yet
Would a judge accept her in the class presented incorrectly? I would not expect her to be placed

I would have thought so - mention it to the secretary before entering, if they think it's a problem at least she will have gained experience in seeing the sights & sounds of a showground.

I also can't see it being a problem. Hope you have a great day and please please feel free to tell us your story on your return as you always have an adventure when you go showing and it's brilliant to read xx

Go & enjoy it, the judge should be understanding about it. Let us know how you got on.

thank you all. we came 2nd which I was thrilled with. Ruby behaved very well, very good attitude and seemed to like the atmosphere, she goes for breaking and schooling soon then hopefully more shows! Will have to get another report written Philippa! My reports go in The Showing Journal each month and that just about wipes me out creatively but i will try
