WOW I know HOYS is not BSPS affiliated but I thought something like a ban for a failed dope test would follow over regardless of society especially at what is the pinnacle of showing.

It's not stirring it's an opinion (which people are allowed to have) which is based on actually fact. I was just suprised to see his name after reading he'd been banned from ownership under bsps. I'm not making up some bullsh1t like alot of people do here
Yes it's nothing to to with the child or the pony but where is the deterrent if the father (I assume) can be banned by one society because a horse he owned failed a dope test but carry on because it's not bsps rules.
Considering banned substances all come from FEI I'm suprised at grandstand media to no carry over bsps ban.
It's like oh it's OK flout the rules here I'm OK it doesn't count at this show so I can just carry on
I'm just stating what I personally thinking is wrong and If I was competitor in the 14whp I'd be abit miffed

As a matter of interest which society do the WHP classes fall under?
They have been retrospectively stripped of two important titles and not been allowed to show the horse concerned at HOYS. I don't know the family but I'm sure they are upset just as we all would be in that circumstance.
If Mr Bowen has appealed, I don't think any further action can be taken until such time as the ban is either upheld or dismissed? Regarding cross contamination responsibility lies with the owners, and any one else in charge of taking care of that particular horse, to ensure that cross contamination cannot happen, as such, I believe the ban will be upheld for that particular horse.
However, it will be up to all the societies to get together and discuss whether a ban against a person from one society should be upheld by all other societies; discussion should probably cover whether it will be all horses and ponies belonging to that owner that will banned.
Another item for discussion and AGM's!

In fact the bsps state substances as per fei and I think you'll find under fei rules it's actually a controlled substance so someone has made a mistake

Given that the owner cited cross contamination as the cause of the positive test, one would hope he's had the other ponies in his yard tested before hoys.

The pony and the rider are fine to be there I was just stating what has been released to the press the OWNER is banned for 12months of ownership of horses under bsps rules
Cross contamination or not until a successful appeal he is still banned as owner under bsps
I'm just for me personally it looks bad to be banned as an owner under one society yet still be down as an owner at HOYS and it seem to be OK. Its no reflection on the family it's more about the moral standing of GM to allow it

TBH I think it's nothing to do with us we are all gossiping about something we can't control, do anything about or know the insides of what happened/results etc think we should let Olivia enjoy her day without the feeling that she's being back stabbed

It has a period of 6+ days of none use to be able to go undetected in a dope test.
