Hi guys, I am new to the world of coloured showing. We have just bought a coloured pony that we were going to do HOYS/ RI classes on next year. What memberships and height certificates would I need?? Am very confused by all the rules Thanks in advance for your help.

For RI you'll need BSPA for HOYS you'll need CHAPS. You will need a height cert if a pony but not sure if that's just on qualification. Think that's right. I stand corrected if not.

You need a height certificate for a pony before CHAPS will give you the card which allows you to compete in HOYS qualifiers (you have to pay for the card on top of everything else).
Not sure about BSPA.

As far as I know you need a height certificate for RI qualifiers too.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the replys... Do you need to have your pony overstamped if they are registered with another society to be able to do the qualifiers??

Hi, yes you will need to overstamp with both bspa and chaps. Also membership of pony, rider and owner with both and send jmb to both for qualifing card. Bspa is for ri and chaps for hoys.
