Hi all.. My daughter will be doing alot of WH classes this season including Hoys qualifiers.. She unfortunatly has hypermobile syndrome and badly over rotates through her knees especially. Day to day and SJ she rides in flexons which have absoloutly helped but when she jumped in regular peacock stirrups at wh recently her knees were terribly sore. So my question is would it be totally wrong to let her ride in her flex ons for working hunter classes?

I DONT KNOW THE RULING FOR STIRRUPS IN WHP CLASSSES BUT I WOULD CONTACT THE SOCIETIES THAT YOU ARE GOING TO COMPETE UNDER. ADVISE THEM OF THE SITUATION AND REQUEST A DISPENSATION FOR HER TO USE THE STIRRUPS IF THEY ARE NOT LEGAL UNDER THEIR RULES.

I have just checked my hard copy of the 2017 BSPS Rule Book and, under 'TACK' heading (page 13) there is no mention of any type of stirrups so it looks like your flexons are ok but, as suggested by kateanne0 above, it would be worth double-checking by ringing the BSPS
If you are showing under a different society then you will, of course, have to check their rules
Good luck and have a great season
