Looking for isolation box livery in herts Essex area for a friends tb gelding.....
My friends horse has strangles he has been in the RVC since new years day as the yard where he is stabled at normally doesn't want him back due to him still being contagious and them not having the facilities to isolate him properly (he didn't bring strangles to the yard another horse did). So,...... we are looking for the impossible, a stable on a yard with at least 5m between him and any other horses/ ponies. It could be for a week it could be a couple of months it all depends on how he responds to treatments etc... My friend still has about a week before his insurance no longer has funds for this so time is of the essence,
Please some one must know someone with an empty yard or with an isolation in the enfield middx area

is there no local farmers with a box or pen free, as doubt a yard would take him in the circumstances

I know harolds park farm in nazeing used to have an isolation area for new liveries, I am not from that area now so not sure if they still have this set up, but it might be worth ringing them to see if they can help.

Have you tried the estate managers of nearby large estates? They may have a field available?
