I have a pony who is showing 1/10th lameness on right rein only, in trot, both ridden and on lunge. Vet has been and advised 4-6 weeks off but has been unable to diagnose where the lameness is coming from. We have had a physio do her back, teeth, feet etc all up to date and recently new fitted saddle so can rule out problems there. The pony is still slightly croup high so not sure if this could be the problem, but did think if it was due to conformation it would show on both reins.
Has anyone else experienced this. Tia

If the lameness doesn't improve after the resting time, maybe investigate further with X-rays of the feet and possibly nerve blocking to help identify where the lameness is coming from.

Thanks Kateanne0, having taken videos of her this weekend both being ridden and lunged, we feel the problem is coming through from the lumber area of her back, so we are having her looked at by a chiropracter who is also a registered equine vet, before turning her away.

Brilliant! Who is the vet who is also a chiropractor? Always useful to know vets who have a dual qualification! Let us all know how you get on please and good luck fingers crossed that the issue can be resolved
