So this year decided to try and do a few hoys qualifiers. I've not done any before so just need an idiots guide. It's mountain and moorland I'll be doing. I've registered with grandstand media and seen the form you have to do and I got confused. I'm a member of the fell pony society so that's sorted, I don't have a jmb but as its unlikely I'll qualify I'm assuming that's okay. Please can you guys help... Dos and don't and any handy tips.

Just how it all works. So if I'm the rider and owner do I just fill in that one form and send off with entries? Does my levy go to the show I'm entering or get paid separately?

On the hoys entry form you have 3 sections all which need filling in. The horse, the rider & the owner. The easiest way is to download one hoys entry form, fill it in and leave the date & show blank. Photocopy it several times. You just then need to put the show & dates on each time you enter. Much easier with online entries. Re the levy, don't concern yourself with that, your classes will have the cost of entry including levy on the schedule so just pay that amount. Honestly it's easy once you've got used to it.

The form can be downloaded from grandstand media. If you log in and scroll down page there is a PDF link to it.
