A few friends and I would like to have a go at side saddle. Can anyone recommend any establishments in the North West and/or North Wales who teach side saddle lessons, please? Would need to be somewhere that provides the horses too as I don't have transport to take my pony along for a lesson.

Hannah Jones is chairman of area 11 Wales/North west. She may be able to suggest somewhere? Area 11 have a website and facebook page. Whereabouts in north wales are you? We had trouble finding anywhere

Highly recommend Wrea Green, Preston .. they have wooden horse you can sit on side saddle before you ride one of their side-saddle trained horses in the school under tuition
Once you have been for lessons and if you wish to take up side saddle, can recommend you contact Linda Cadman who is chair of the Northern Side Saddle Group .. she is extremely helpful and her partner hires out quality side saddles for a year at a time at very reasonable cost and he comes out to your stables to fit side saddle and see you ride on it
