Are the WPCS always really slow at returning passports? They said 10days on the phone to my mom which gave me plenty of time for entries as it was 3 weeks till entries closed for cheshire at the time. I've still had nothing back and the cheque cleared in the first week. I paid for recorded delivery having had them lose a passport before. I've emailed them and been ignored repeatedly again (I can't use a telephone in work to harass them).
So I'm just wondering are they genuinely this slow?

Not usually slow at this time of year. Get someone to give them a call. Did you send it recorded as well as pay for the return recorded?? If you did they have a book which they record the date of arrival in. If you are waiting for an overstamp just ask for the number so you can get on with entries.

Yep sent recorded and paid for recorded delivery return due to previous experience. I believe I have to send a photocopy to GM for the part bred classes. I've entered the classes I need to so far and non of have yet to ask for it but I don't particular want to be getting caught out.
I have to leave phone number and instructions for my mom to find out what's going on. As I need to send it off to NPS when it gets back aswell (who I sent our other ponies passport too at the same time and had them back last week)

The WPCS address changed a few years ago and depending on the age of the pony you could have a passport with the old address in? I fell foul of this and eventually the passport arrived back to my address and I had to resend to the correct address.

It has been Easter so there's always going to be some backlog. Personally I'd just call them and get it cleared up rather than stressing in here about it!!!

As expected they're are just completely useless
I finally managed to get hold of them today and they've sent a form to the breeder to sign, haven't bothered to notify us as we know the breeder moved a few years ago don't know where to but we could of at least tried to find out.
Then she has the cheek to say of you want your passport we'll send it back without the overstamp; when they've already cashed the cheque
God I hate having to deal with them and it's no wonder they can lose passports so easily

Just out of curiosity, why did they need to send a form to the breeder? I can't fault WPCS ive always found them to be quite prompt and good to deal with. Hope you sort it all out x

Think you'll find that you should have the previous owner or breeders signature & details on any passport you transfer over not just WPCS. It's not their incompetence I'm afraid.

The passport Is all signed by the breeder who is his only previous owner and is all upto date with his NPS the stud book who issued his passport. And it's is the incompetence of them to just sit on it and not bother to contact us after we filled in all they asked us to. As I got very clear instructions from them; at no point did they mention at any point paper work (paper work not passport) need signing by the breeder. Just told Copy these details from the passport to the form we are sending you and send it back along with his passport.

But on the transfer form it has to be signed!!!! Incompetence would be them not contacting you or the breeder surely.??

6 weeks on still no passport and what do they have to say on the phone "I'm not sure where it is I can you ring back next week" so I expect yet again we'll be chasing them.
So pure incompetent society;2 dealings with and both times they've been dire having lost a passport previously
I'm not wasting my money on getting it done on the other pony I'll just get him stamped PBA more expensive but maybe you pay for what you get.

You have miss the point we filled it in exactly as they told us to; copy xyz from his passport and sign and send it to us. We did everything they asked they didn't mention anything about a breeders signature until we rung up. We asked about the blank parts on the overstamp form and they told us it didn't matter as would be receiving the had the passport which is all signed by owner the breeder etc etc. After previous experience with them I begrudgingly has to deal with them again and now have an even lower opinion of them

I didn't miss the point. I've registered enough ponies and overstamped enough with them and AHS to know you fill in EVERYTHING on the forms regardless.
There's no possible way it can go wrong then. And if the passport was up to date and correctly signed there would have been no problem.
Anyway, hope you have more joy with AHS and get your passport back from WPCS soon.
