Does anyone know a trustworthy mechanic in the Cheshire area that would be able to fit a new radiator for our horsebox? Or has anyone had a new one fitted in the past if so how much did it cost all together? Thanks

Mr F says price would vary considerably depending on make of vehicle and , crucially , whether it has a tilt cab . Very time consuming job if the cab doesn't tilt .

Thankyou- it's a older leyland Daf so doesn't have a tilt cab. We will have to try and find a mechanic that will put the time into it

I have used north west trucks (nr j19 m6) previously for mechanical work as they tend to be more efficient and knowledgeable than some of the horsebox companies who have more experience doing work on the build rather than mechanical aspects.
I've never had radiator issues but NWT are daf specialists so should be able to advise.

Good luck, hope it's not too expensive. Thankfully my current box (a merc which I'm actually selling to downsize) has never needed any mechanical work but when I had my old daf I uswd NWT a good few times.
