Message from Sarah
THANK YOU EVERYONE for an amazing Spring show. It was a fantastic day and it was all thanks to the brilliant stewards and judges for working so hard & YOU the exhibitor. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying their showing & having some fun.
To top it off it was great to see TSR Pathway Riders excelling Gabe Watson, Nicole Bark, Louise Goss, Xaria Overy, Marianne Moss, Mia Avery, Josie Herridge sorry if I have missed anyone off please let me know!
Once again a HUGE thank you to the stewards for managing such big classes so efficiently (we could not do it without you)
If you have any feed back about the show please get in touch email info@theshowingregister.co.uk :-)

The show seemed very well supported, everywhere was very busy - well done TSR
After years of spectating at these shows I bought my show pony for her first big party, hours of prep and waiting around resulted in pony tripping in the ring less than two minutes after entering it and the seven year old rider exiting stage left! HUGE thanks to the steward, the judge, to Sarah and to the medics who smoothly and efficiently dealt with the situation - very impressive organisation which we are very grateful for. My sincere apologies to the owner and also the rider of the little Welshie who was upset by the goings on and who retired from the class much to the disappointment of the rider I am so sorry I was too preoccupied with child and pony to apologise to you at the time
One item of feedback I do have is that we vacated the warm up areas very quickly because they were very hectic with lots of large breeds as well as the chaos of horses jumping in the indoor warm up which frightened the rider and pony. Standing with the others outside the tiny tots class ring it became apparent that the majority of them had not warmed up at all beyond the walk from their horsebox due to what they thought was an over whelming atmosphere of the 'big classes' and their seasoned competitors in the warm up areas. I'm not suggesting that a separate area should be provided but considering the show invites and welcomes these fledgling riders perhaps a bit of brainstorming may be needed on this

This is a very good point and yes a seperate warm up would be a good idea and we will sort this out there is room outside or even a 30 min slot before the class for little ones only. It is a good class but we have yet to get it dead right so will keep on trying ! Actually whilst writing this it has occured to me that we should let them warm up in the ring for 20 mins then start the class.

Very good point Toaster , my daughter is 15 now but riding a small breed she sometimes gets ridden over by larger animals in the warm up . Must be really scary for the little ones and I can fully understand why they wouldn't want to go in the warm up . My daughter sometimes opts to avoid the warm up area and try and find somewhere else to warm up if she can . It's often not helped by people bringing novice ponies for a ride around , I know it needs to be done but sometimes people need to show a bit of consideration for the little ones . A warm up before the class is an excellent idea TSR

I would just like to say what a brilliant atmosphere there was between competitors in the HOYS classes, grooms and riders all laughing and joking with each other. This has put my faith back in showing. Thank you TSR for a wonderful show.
