I swear by the Supreme Products palomino&dun shampoo for my golden dun, always leaves him with a lovely shiny coat and helps keep him a good colour especially in the summer. A good deep colour will always come from within though, seaweed is brilliant for colour and condition in the coat and micronised linseed for a good, healthy shine.

Seaweed is pretty easy to get hold of, most feed merchants or equine stores stock it, they only need a small amount so it lasts quite a long time. Naf, Dodson&Horrell etc all do it or it can be bought in bulk(5kg or 25kg bags) from Charnwood Milling.

I can vouch for seaweed or try Cupra which is a copper supplement. That worked for our palomino section A.

Seaweed worked wonders for my fells coat, mane and hooves. I buy oceanfeed from comfort gut. It is a bit more expensive but it lasts ages and has a lower level of iodine so is better for them.

You do have to be careful with seaweed as it is high in iodine, and too much of that is not good for them.
