Can someone advise of the correct brow band colour for county level riding horse classes? Got a stunning blue one but a judge has told me that red is really the correct colour. Happy to change, what do people think? Thankyou

so far has I am aware there is no correct colour, and I am surprized that any judge commented on the colour of the browband. The only time I would expect a judge to pass any remark on a browband would be re the fit of it or if it was one of the over the top ones. Personally in this case I would write to the society and advise them of this, I am sure they would be interested if a judge was influenced by the colour of the browband. I will be interested in what the rest of the HGers think

As above, no correct colour, best to go with a colour that suits the colour of the horse and then match your accessories to the browband

I have a 13.2h show pony and he has a red browband. A lot of ponies and horse I see mainly have red or blue ones but it does depend on the colour of your horse. I have a bay pony and I have a red one but mainly grey ponies have blue browbands. A lot of ponies also have red, blue and white ones in one browband.
