OMG it's bad enough that people accuse judges of favouring friends but now because they live in the same County!!!!
Give it a rest or just give up.

Where you there? Did you see the classes or have you just read the results? My guess is you have just read the results and are just a sad lonely keyboard warrior looking to strike a debate. Winners yesterday and today were all worthy I saw them all! Problem? Get yourself on the panel and judge the classes yourself. Let's see who your winners are.... oh but hang on we won't will we because you're hiding in the guest section behind a false name! Grow up you sad individual.

I didn't realize you could compete in the class yesterday, collect your ticket and judge again today the very same class at a different venue? Whilst I don't know if it's breaking any rules, this surely is a question of integrity?

And why would that be? You can compete at HOYS on Friday and judge on Saturday. What's the difference?

have to say I wasn't at ring side yesterday but I was at the Scottish and not sure I agree with "all" worthy winners ... I think the judges riding and judging same classes is a different debate but for one judge to qualify 2 exhibits one day and then go under those same individuals the following day is a bit off and questionable .... surely expecting chatter.. no???

I think that is the biggest issue. Whilst it may not be in any rules, it looks so bad qualifying 2 judges 1 day and then taking a pony under them the next day. What is it that TSR always say about the perception of it? And by doing something like that, you can only expected to be gossiped about!

Well if everyone spent the time they waste trying to start up trouble on here on going and getting their judges assessment done themselves then there would be more judges on panels to pick at. It's no wonder none wants to judge anymore with you set of sh*thouses sitting on here slagging them off!!!
2 sets of judges 2 sets of marks why don't you study them and see if you can identify the "favours" I think you'll find on both days in most classes that both judges had different winners.

www.chapsuk.com. All the information required to put yourselves forward for the judges assessment can be found on the CHAPS website. Ya'll want to put yourselves forward with how much you have to say.... your opinion doesn't count outside the ring so get yourselves in the middle where it counts!

When people say why judges are giving up that's a load of tosh, anyone who saw Hollings article in last weeks Horse and Hound will have noted there are more judges than ever its stewards that are needed,as for the idiots who say no judges What next, well when competitors give up and there is no one to judge except other judges what next then. The TSR show had some very good entries at the summer show but look at the location of Onley smack in the middle of the country, so everyone can get to it, go further afield and numbers compared to even a few years ago are dire let alone the old days of two rows, Like everything in life you will find good and bad but at the moment showing is doing itself no favours and in the past I have heard people say avoid Lancashire Judges. As for people making comments on here maybe its the only place to vent your frustration as going to the societys is pointless as its all one big clique. Carrots and Mints and Grow up what is a serious subject you belittle it by your sarcastic comments.

It was going to be all four winners that are judges at the Scottish and all from Lancashire But the ride judge had to mark accordingly in the nnp class . Festival of hunting 2 winners from Lancashire close to the judges 3 where judges It's not about getting in the panels to sort this out But the societies need to be doing something But we are talking about chaps here might as well just bang our heads against a brick wall

Are you saying you didn't agree with the winners? If so why? What did you see about the winning animals that meant they were big worthy of their placings? Curious to know.

The problem is you have all these judges that are friendly with each other judging and competing in the class I do belive that if you judge within that year dont compete They need to have a serious shake up

My view is that the societies can make the changes required - if they wanted to ... which it needs
There maybe enough judges, but they should be able to accessed/ used by ALL societies across the board. This would stop the familiarities that appears to be happening to us that aren't that INCLUDED!
A horse is a horse.. a ride judge is a ride judge.. there should. E just ONE pool of panel judges to cover all classes! Be a lot fairer

Be a lot fairer This is a fair point and I believe that next year with the TSR panel that this maybe the case and there will be more judges available across the panels. However some of the earlier posts on here are rather unsavoury and unnecessary toward the judges from the last 2 days. They judged what they had on the day and fairly. I think once again someone just has sour grapes.

So basically just because I choose not be a judge but I am happy to support a society and pay good money for entries (to be fairly judged) ... I am not allowed to have an opinion and I am considered a "sh1thouse" .... interesting!
