I am so fed up of saddle companies and fitters atm, I had a new saddle fitted less than 18 months ago, the third in as many years, and now all of a sudden it is totally the wrong tree, panel etc for my pony. Tbh, I am furious, I specifically went to a company who dealt in saddling these kind of ponies, spent an awful lot of money and now I need a new saddle. Now to my mind if the tree is now the wrong shape then either my pony's spine has changed shape....or it wasn't the right shape tree in the first place. I have had it refitted twice since new both times it has cost me nearly £200 and both times it was said to be uncorrectable in any way shape or form and I am now left high and dry with a saddle that doesn't fit, but is like a new saddle and which I will now have to sell at the usual huge loss and then add even more money, which I will have to save up and until then I am stuck worrying about all this and my poor pony, who I hasten to add has been checked twice by a qualified excellent physio and has no signs of any issues and who is riding the best he's ever gone for me. Would anyone else be as fed up, upset and angry about this as me or am I in the wrong as I am being made to feel. Whilst I appreciate the pony has changed shape as regards losing fat and gaining muscle, my argument is that of the tree suddenly being completely the wrong shape. I feel yet again totally let down and thoroughly disappointed in saddlers once again and no longer have any faith in any of them except for the odd one or two. If anyone can offer some advice on what saddles they find work well on a flat backed Highland pony. I'd be very grateful.
Any advice, support or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend fiona Cork saddles so comfy and she has one that is a Highland tree. I don't know what that is like as I have the original in xxxwide for my fell. It has been worth every penny.

Thank you to all of you that have taken the time to read my post and reply, it is very much appreciated. I have since had further suggestions, one of which has been from a qualified saddle fitter, who has seen pictures of my pony from just about any and every angle, both with and without both his jockeys, pointing towards a Fiona Cork saddle and as I have always loved Albion saddles then these look promising. My only concern is that I would really prefer a WH saddle as it needs to be versatile allowing us to do dressage up to Elementary, a bit of workers and some low level show jumping in winter, yet when I looked on their website it says out of stock, so I am wondering if they still make it. Does anyone know please?

Quick update, had the very lovely Fiona Cork out on Sunday to do a demo and measure my pony. Tried her saddle on him and WOW!! For the first time ever, I felt instantly comfortable, safe and secure in it, pony also seemed happy in it, as did my jockey too. Beautiful leather, soft and supple and a lovely design too. Have placed my order and eight weeks cannot now go fast enough lol. Thanks to everyone who helped me to decide. So excited to get it and will keep you posted as to how we get on when it arrives

We always had Hector in a Fylde Mick, purchased secondhand from a lady at Equifest one year who let us ride him in it before buying. Once back on home turf, we had it checked by our saddler saddle-fitter and did this once a year to correct any small changes. Hector always went well in it in all disciplines, flat classes, whps, dressage, arena eventing.

I have the original. I think I did my friends head in because I did a weekly then daily countdown until I got it ha

Bigmama, Hector was simply the most perfect Highland pony, not a bad bone in his body and he and Sophie were wonderful together. I still think about him every day and what could have been and will never forget coming to try him and the wonderful day I had with you all, only for a horrible twist of fate to ruin everything later. I think he could have been ridden with a paper bag on his back and still gone beautifully, Sophie had done such a beautiful job schooling him. Simply one of the loveliest ponies I've ever met x
