Social media also reveals some not so tenuous links and explains some results which would normally have been very hard to explain Social media also stirs up a lot of bad feeling, creates trolls and gives those who are cowards and nearly always also bullies, the platform to do a lot of damage behind anonymity. The place to stop unfairness is the AGMs not by being a keyboard warrior

In the showing world everyone knows everyone. Honest judges should and are able to detach themselves from outside influences and judge the animals in front of them on the day. We shouldn't always be looking for reasons why someone has won...... it may be because they had the best horse that performed the best on the day. Rather than presuming that everything isn't above board try looking further. We all have very different opinions about what constitutes type and performance and this is what gives a variety of results. What doesn't change is conformation and movement and this is where the judges from the different categories will reveal which group they belong to. At clinics and teach ins the instructors should give honest feedback to people who attend. Why say something is a show horse if it really isn't. Cruel to set up people for a big disappointment. For those feeling despondent, regroup, reassess and pitch yourself at the correct level, take advice and enjoy!

Well said nothing has changed guest,I think most competitors don't mind being beaten by any thing that has gone well but perhaps not their type,it's not acceptable though when something has obviously not gone that well and gets a high ride mark and wins, that is so disheartening and you wonder how that judge can openly stand there and do that with so many knowledgeable people watching xx
