Just a post created our of interest.
I know stud fees vary greatly depending on the type, breeding and what the stallion has achieved. I've seen adverts of fees for anything from £250 to £1000 for a native pony.
But I wondered what people would expect to pay for a stallion in his first season covering. Especially as they don't have anything on the ground yet.
I guess its really a how long is a piece of string question but im interested to find out people's thoughts.

I think a lot depends on what type of pony he is and what he could possibly breed. His own attributes and his own breeding line.
