Unfortunately my little **** has triggered a bout of laminitis by escaping from his field and having rather a gorge on some good grass. Doing all the usual - no grass, soaking hay, box rest. Farrier has suggested we might try a pair of plastic nail on clogs as when he is sounder I could actually walk him out in them and we know nailing on will not be an issue. He is a knife edge pony as far as laminitis is concerned so I do have to manage him carefully and work him daily - when he is right of course. Farrier has only used them on one horse, but he says they worked extremely well. Have had a set of imprint stick on shoes on him about 6 years ago but these clogs look more practical. I am definitely thinking they might be a good bet, but would like a little more evidence if possible. Anybody used them? Good and bad experiences welcome.

They would be fine as long as you get the right size. These ones fasten with Velcro I think (I’ll find the make and let you know)
