Can you say where you are or if you are willing to travel; if so how far? TB cannot be used AI Please do tell me more - via PM if you chose I wasn't aware of this and it would prob make a difference as I would have been looking at the probability of AI if the stallion was too far away! I am North West Thank you

They can't be for Weatherbys pure TB registration for racing, but I always understood that they could be if targeted for sport horse purposes so for registration with other bodies? Not really my area but could be worth a check with the sport horse people.

I am North West Thank you Weatherbys only allow natural coverings. It depends on who your mare is registered with has to how you get a passport. Do look into it before picking a stallion, check with whoever you want to register it with rather than the stallion owner. I think Jerome has a TB stallion standing this year but I know nothing about it.

Jerome Harforth always has a good TB stallion with proper bone , short cannons etc. As far as I know he uses AI. so on a mare that's not TB herself, or to breed a foal that doesn't need to be registered with Weatherbys , that is fine. It would help a lot if you said what breed / height your mare is, and most important of all, what you are hoping to breed.
Only TB's bred for racing, or stock that owners wish to be registered with Weatherby's cannot use AI.

Have a look at the Stanley Grange Stud website for info on Up with the Lark - I think he would easily breed a riding horse type, depending on the parentage of your mare - he is not quite full TB but very close to it I think.
