Hello I have a nice 2 rising two year old TB/ID/Warmblood mix but am not sure what class to enter him in so am after some advice! I did three shows with him last year, a pony club show where he won best pot comp horse, dorset county where he was third and best yearling small hunter, and NPS area 24 where he was third again in the hunter yearling class. He is standing around 14.3hh at present (to make 15.2) so I know he is too small to do well in affiliated pot comp horse classes, but I am also wondering if he has enough bone to be a hunter or if I should enter as a riding horse? His main fault is his front end so I am not expecting to win everything I am just showing him for a bit of education but don't want to look silly by entering the wrong classes! Photos were taken a few days ago, thanks in advance! and in his summer coat as a yearling

9He is lovely.
I often think of showing my KWPN mare (dutch Warmblood) as she is very beautiful, but I never know what class to put her in?
I will watch with interest what people say.

Hi, He's lovely! I would put him in Small Riding horse classes as he has a very pretty head and light bone. You could always place him in a couple of different classes again and see what the judges say.

thanks for the replies. I have entered him in the small hunters at devon already as the entries close soon, but it said in the schedule I couldn't do both hunter and riding horse, it was either or. Do you think it would be worth doing a riding horse class at another county show? Are riding horse youngstock split like hunters?
Sorry for all the questions I've never had anything but arabs before!

I'd like to take him to bath and west but there is no small hunter youngstock so I'll have to enter him as something else.
So would I enter him in class H033 large hack, or class H034 small riding horse?
What are the judges looking for in each class?
thanks!
