I'm yet another newbie ;D I'm Sophie, 16 and live in Scotland. I am the very proud owner of a 14.1hh grey dun Highland Pony called Callum [Wemblys MacCallum - By Trowan Carra and out of Kincardine Misty May] who I managed to purchase 7 months ago after searching for the right horse/pony for a good 6months. He has boosted my confidence enormously and is an absalute sweetheart in everyway and extremely honest. I bought him when he was 3 weeks back into work after being left to eat himself to obesity in a field for 6 months. So we have now been through 3 saddles and the 3rd we had fitted by the saddle exchange as I and the vet are happy at his weight at the moment so felt it was time to get him a nice one fitted for showing. So next month we will kick off our showing debut together and I'm really excited. We have done 2 dressage tests and we were 4th and 5th which I was happy with as he is 8 and the last time he had been to a show was when he was 5. And here is my wonderful boy himself

Nope cant say he does, sometimes on uneven ground such as the forest really grassy tracks where there are small holes adn tufts he does occasionally.

Hi sophie ... glad to find a familiar face on here. Interested to know .... where did all you guys find your highlands?? I searched like Sophie for months before finding my perfect pony on horsequest last year but we tragically lost him last months so I am now on the look out again ... kaylee ... I once had a highland who was forever on her knees! She was broken late and was very on her forehand. Schooling should help and try to get her working from behind ...

Helloo Liz! ;D I think the perfect pony will find you Liz! I found my boy totally and utterly by mistake ;D No pony will ever replace your beautiful Piper, but when you feel ready I'm sure you'll find a special pony I think there are plenty of contacts on HPT and there is always lots on HPS
