Had a section a vetted today and it has two small splints on the inside of each front leg...had them as a foal and never affected him. Hoping to do HOYS/RI quals next year...will this affect him? Perfect in every other way and the only thing that came up on vetting.

Mine had two identical ones, vet said they weren’t splints just extra calsification of the bone when developing. Recommended magnetic boots (I was not convinced) but they have almost totally gone now wearing them for over a year several times a week.

We won a tremendous amount with a pony including major championships with a splint, never affected the pony. I have had success with magnetic boots as well.
